Job summary

Tesco Caf is looking for a dedicated team member to support our Back of House operations, ensuring food is prepared, kitchen areas kept clean, and quality upheld across our cafés.

You’ll help with cooking and serving, maintain hygiene, follow FIFO, handle deliveries, and contribute to an efficient, friendly service that makes every customer experience better.

Whilst specific responsibilities will be dependent upon the changing needs of Tesco as a business, the following provides an overview of the role’s key responsibilities and measures:

• Keeping kitchen equipment and utensils clean and tidy.

• Practising first in, first out (FIFO) stock rotation to keep our food fresh.
• Accepting deliveries and handling the safe storage of food.
• Being aware of (and following) all operational policies and procedures.
• Preparing, cooking, and serving food according to our caf’s
• Making sure we maintain our standards and all food products are available.
• Knowing our caf’s menu inside and out and serving food exactly as it’s intended.
• Resolving customer complaints and passing on information to the Caf Manager.
• Staying up to date with business communications and exciting new initiatives.��
