Job summary

Tesco Café in the United Kingdom is seeking a team member to support the Back of House and front-line service. You’ll help keep kitchens clean, prepare and serve food, and follow food safety rules to ensure quality for customers.

Work with a friendly team, learn the menu, handle deliveries and stock, and assist the Café Manager to resolve issues. We offer flexible working options and a welcoming, inclusive environment.

Responsibilities

• Keeping kitchen equipment and utensils clean and tidy.
• Serving customers quickly, efficiently and with care.
• Following food safety and hygiene regulations while keeping daily records.
• Practising first in, first out (FIFO) stock rotation to keep our food fresh.
• Accepting deliveries and handling the safe storage of food.
• Being aware of (and following) all operational policies and procedures.
• Preparing, cooking, and serving food according to our cafés
• Making sure we maintain our standards and all food products are available.
• Knowing our café’s menu inside and out and serving food exactly as it’s intended.
• Resolving customer complaints and passing on information to the Café Manager.
• Staying up to date with business communications and exciting new initiatives.
