Durham University is seeking a Catering Assistant to join the Operations Directorate and deliver a courteous, professional catering service to students, staff and visitors. You will supervise a team, ensure outlets are clean and safe, and assist in maintaining high standards across catering facilities.

Qualifications

• Five GCSEs at least Grade C or level 4, including English Language and Mathematics.
• Experience in a team delivering customer-focused services or with relevant qualifications.
• General administrative experience in an office environment.
• Ability to manage time to meet deadlines.
• Experience supervising a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide students, staff and visitors with a courteous, professional catering service.
• Supervise the team to demonstrate leadership and delegate tasks.
• Ensure retail outlets are clean, well-presented and safe during opening hours.
• Follow health and safety regulations and maintain high standards of service.
