Benugo, operating at John Lewis Chelmsford, is seeking an experienced Cafe Assistant to join the team. The role focuses on taking orders, serving food and drinks, and preserving an exceptional customer experience in a busy café environment.

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Cafe Assistant to join the team at Benugo - John Lewis Chelmsford.

Award-winning carbon neutral coffee, with freshly baked cakes, sandwiches and a variety of salads.

We Offer:

Rate: £12.71 per hour

Shifts: 5 days out of 7/ Mon- Fri/ Weekends

Contract: Part-Time Temporary: 10 hours per week (with the possibility of working up to 25 hours per week)

Start Date: As Soon As Possible

End Date: Mid-January 2027

About the Cafe Assistant role:

• Taking orders, serving food and drinks
• Ensuring the customers experience is maintained at all times to the highest standard
• Ensuring that food safety standards are followed at all times

Experience isn’t essential, as full training will be provided. However, a smile, dedication to exceeding customer expectations, and being a great team player are essential.
