Job summary

Compass Group UK&I is recruiting a dedicated Cafe Supervisor to help ensure smooth operations across our venues. The role is part-time, contracted to 16 hours per week, with weekends only and 38.6 weeks per year.

Responsibilities

• Check deliveries and store them promptly and correctly.
• Supervise a frontline team and foster a welcoming, supportive environment.
• Act as a key holder and manage security responsibilities.
• Assist with weekly bookwork and other duties as required.
• Create weekly rotas following manager guidelines.
• Place orders to maintain stock levels and manage procurement.
• Delegate tasks and ensure proactive delivery by the team.
• Ensure compliance with Food Handling & Hygiene standards.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations.

We're currently recruiting a dedicated Cafe Supervisor to help ensure the smooth running of the operations in Chartwells on a part time basis, contracted to 16 hours per week.

Please note: This role is contracted to 38.6 weeks per year

Your key responsibilities may include:

• Ensuring all deliveries are checked and stored promptly and correctly
• Supervising a team, creating a positive environment where the team feel welcomed and supported
• Being a responsible key holder
• Assisting with weekly bookwork and any other duties that are necessary
• Producing weekly rotas following the manager's guidelines
• Placing orders for stock to maintain the correct stock levels
• Delegating where necessary and ensuring the team are proactive at all times
• Complying with Food Handling & Hygiene standards
• Complying with Health & Safety regulations

Our ideal Cafe Supervisor will:

• Previous experience supervising frontline teams within a similar environment
• Good communication skills with a focus on great Customer Service
• Team player and can-do attitude
• Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining a positive attitude
