Job summary

Gap Personnel Limited seeks an Intake Operative for a busy Caerphilly food manufacturing site. You will handle high-value raw materials, receive and test products, and record data to ensure quality, hygiene and safety standards are met.

Role involves variable days/afternoons across Monday to Friday with cream-delivery schedules. Candidates should have experience in food production and a strong eye for detail and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within a food production, or processing environment is desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
• Ability to follow procedures and maintain accurate records.
• Good understanding of health, safety, and hygiene practices.
• Flexible approach to working hours.
• Reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Safely receive cream deliveries from tankers and collate all tanker receipts.
• Carry out food testing prior to offloading.
• Pasteurise cream in line with SOPs.
• Minimise product waste and maximise efficiency.
• Wash tankers and silos following strict cleaning procedures.
• Monitor temperature charts and ensure equipment works correctly.
• Adhere to CCPs and food safety standards.
• Accurately complete and maintain all records and documentation.
• Report issues to senior personnel promptly.
• Participate in training as required.
• Support other areas of the factory when needed.
• Provide holiday and sickness cover for the opposite shift.
