In this role, you will support and maintain our Siemens NX and Teamcenter environments across both engineering and IT domains. This hybrid role serves as a critical link between engineering design and information technology, ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our CAD and PLM systems. You will also provide end-user support and drive continuous improvement initiatives across both areas.

What you will be doing
CAD/PLM Administration (NX & Teamcenter):
  • Administer and maintain Siemens NX and Teamcenter PLM environments, ensuring system uptime, data integrity, and performance.
  • Manage user access, roles, and permissions in Teamcenter and NX.
  • Configure and support Teamcenter integrations with NX, including BOMs, revisions, release processes, and lifecycle workflows.
  • Implement and enforce CAD/PLM standards, templates, and document control procedures.
  • Provide Tier 1/2 user support and training for engineers and designers using NX and Teamcenter.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, training guides, and user support materials.
IT/Systems Administration:
  • Work closely with the IT department to install, configure, and maintain NX and Teamcenter servers (on-prem or cloud-hosted).
  • Support software upgrades, patches, and license management (FlexNet, Siemens License Server, etc.).
  • Monitor system performance and perform preventive maintenance on CAD/PLM servers and workstations.
  • Manage backups, disaster recovery planning, and data migrations for CAD and PLM data.
  • Troubleshoot issues involving system integrations, network connectivity, and user authentication (e.g., LDAP, SSO).
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure secure access and compliance with IT policies.
  • Manage hardware (Laptops & Phones), stock, and installation of computer operating systems.
  • Assist with general day-to-day IT problems.
  • Carry out inductions with new users across various departments.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • HNC/HND Engineering qualification.
  • Understanding of engineering systems, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience with Siemens NX and Teamcenter in an administrative role.
  • Strong understanding of both engineering processes and IT systems infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with CAD/PLM system architecture, deployment, and integrations.
  • Experience with Teamcenter BMIDE, Active Workspace, and user environment configuration.
  • Experience with Windows Server environments, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), and network configuration.
  • Scripting knowledge (e.g., PowerShell, ITK, TCL, or Python) for automation and customization.
  • Experience with multi-site CAD/PLM deployments.
  • Teamcenter certification or Siemens PLM training.
  • Knowledge of product development lifecycle and change management processes (ECO/ECN).
  • Experience in regulated industries (maritime and defense) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, SQL databases, and cloud services (AWS/Azure) is a bonus.
