CAD Technician – Highways Experience

Up to £40,000 + package (25 days holiday + opt to purchase 5 days, annual health and wellbeing allowance, discretionary bonus)

Are you a skilled highways CAD Technician looking to make a real impact in development planning? I am currently working with a civil engineering consultancy business, based in Central London, who are looking to add top talent to their established London team, specialising on a large portfolio of Highways projects.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Designing highway projects includingroundabouts, signalised junctions, and right-turn lanes.
  • Reviewing technical drawings and outputs from the team
  • Providing technical input into CAD drawings and swept path analysis.
  • Assessing site layouts and drawings
  • Contributing to Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, and planning submission documents.
  • Liaising with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders, attending meetings and workshops on scope of works
  • Mentoring junior team members and supporting their technical development.

Desirable (but not essential) skills:

  • Experience with traffic modelling software such as Junctions 10 or LinSig
  • Familiarity with TRICS and TEMPro for trip generation and future growth analysis.
  • Experience using AutoCAD or similar design software
  • Ability to produce and configure traffic flow diagrams to support modelling and design work.
