Position: CAD Designer

Location: Witney, Oxfordshire

Salary: £30,000 - £34,000

The Company:
Our client supplies the logistics sector with bespoke storage systems, to a number of different arenas. We are looking for an experienced Draughtsman with AutoCAD knowledge to work from their Witney office.

The Role:
As a CAD Technician you will mainly be responsible for:

1. Creating/amending site layout drawings and assembly diagrams.
2. Estimating and structural knowledge.
3. Answering sales calls, providing written quotations, and dealing with technical queries.
4. Building 3D assemblies from technical drawings.
5. Creating and understanding sheet metal parts.
6. Preparing and generating 2D technical drawings from 3D models.
7. Performing modifications to 2D technical drawings when required.
8. Generating general assembly drawings from 3D assemblies.
9. Creating manufacturing and client instruction documents.
10. Ensuring that the company's Health, Safety and Fire regulations are adhered to at all times, reporting any issues immediately to the department's health and safety committee member or line manager.
11. Participating in all identified training to ensure skills are in line with the job role and any future changes.
12. Carrying out extra duties as requested by management.

About You:
If you are an experienced Technician with experience in a similar role within a production facility, you should have the following requirements:

1. Qualification ideally in an engineering or manufacturing discipline.
2. Previous CAD design experience.
3. Good industry experience in using SolidWorks.
4. 3D CAD experience & skills.
