The role focuses on producing electrical schematics and panel drawings with AutoCAD and SolidWorks Electrical, developing electrical designs, and issuing accurate drawings to the workshop.

Qualifications

• CAD design experience using AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
• Engineering qualifications would be advantageous but are not essential with relevant practical experience.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate technical work.
• Able to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
• Good communication with workshop and engineering teams.
• Based within a commutable distance of Westbury.
• Willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Produce electrical schematics and control panel drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks Electrical.
• Develop electrical designs and drawings for control panels and related systems.
• Issue accurate CAD drawings and technical information to the workshop.
• Collaborate with workshop to ensure designs are manufacturable.
• Review and update drawings as required.
• Support the design and manufacture from initial requirements through to completion.
• Apply existing electrical knowledge to identify and resolve design or manufacturing issues.

Position: CAD TechnicianLocation: Westbury, Wiltshire Salary: £32,000 - £36,000 CAD Technician required. Our client is a well-established and growing manufacturer of control panels based in the Westbury area. Due to the continued success they are looking to recruit a CAD Technician to join their small and experienced engineering team. It is anticipated the succesful candidate will haveprevious experience with use of CAD software such as AutoCAD & Solidworks, and a willingness to learn electrical systems and control panels.

CAD Technician - Position Overview

• Producing electrical schematics and control panel drawings using AutoCAD and Solidworks Electrical
• Developing electrical designs and drawings for control panels and associated systems
• Issuing accurate CAD drawings and technical information to the workshop
• Working closely with the workshop team to ensure designs are practical and can be manufactured correctly
• Reviewing and updating drawings where required
• Supporting the design and manufacture of control panels from initial requirements through to completion
• Using existing electrical and control-panel knowledge to identify and resolve design or manufacturing issues
• Developing knowledge of the company's products, systems and design processes

CAD Technician - Position Requirements

• CAD Design experience using software such as AutoCAD or Solidworks
• Engineering qualifications would be advantageous but are not essential where relevant practical experience is demonstrated
• Strong attention to detail and an accurate approach to technical work
• Able to work independently and take ownership of tasks

CAD Technician - Position Remuneration

• Salary: £32,000 - £36,000 per annum, depending on experience
• Full-time, permanent position, Monday to Friday, 08:30-17:00
• Training and development on AutoCAD Electrical and SolidWorks Electrical
