Job description

An opportunity for a dynamic, enthusiastic, and confident Technician to join our growing country technical division, which is split between London and Telford. The role can be based from either the Telford or London office.

You will work with a team of Design Engineers delivering technical solutions across the UK. Being part of a team of innovative structural engineers will give you the chance to expand your design experience and contribute actively.

Duties will include:

  1. Producing and coordinating the delivery of technical 2D drawings for structural systems
  2. Assisting Engineers with client requirements, comments, and revisions of technical packages
  3. Liaising with clients to meet project drawing requirements
  4. Developing and implementing Standards of Quality within the discipline
  5. Document control
  6. Estimating material quantities

Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar role with a portfolio of works
  • Knowledge of CAD software: AutoCAD, Revit (SolidWorks is advantageous)
  • Desirable skills: 3D modeling and site logistic animations
  • Experience producing and coordinating technical drawings for structural systems
  • Experience with fabrication of structural elements, temporary works, steel structures, and RC structures
  • Experience with steel structures
  • Experience in automation/parametric 3D modeling
  • Commercial awareness of UK market materials, components, and suppliers
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word and Excel)
