Qualifications

Crest Nicholson's Group Technical division are now looking for a CAD Technician to join their Team.

The Group Technical Department is responsible for standard designs for site specific projects and detailing for both concept and working drawing purposes inclusive of associated structural engineering, engaging the development of industry standards & regulation to ensure its compliance with Crest Nicholson design requirements.

Key elements of the role to include:

  • Responsible for the delivery of all information, drawings, required to ensure full compliance with the Crest standard design requirements and site-specific projects along with maintenance in accordance with current industry standards. (This will be under the guidance of the Group Technical Director).
  • Ensuring the third Party production information from manufactures, and external are adapted to suite standard and site-specific projects.
  • Producing in collaboration with the technical manager site specific layout drawings.
  • Responsible for mentoring and assisting members of staff as directed by the Group Technical Director.
  • Provide regular reports, to the Group Technical Director on the progress of group projects, and to highlight any issues as they arise.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Educated to OND, ONC, HND, HNC or degree in Architectural technology desirable.
  • Strong working knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD operating systems along with associated software.
  • Good knowledge of Building Regs, BS, Codes of Practice and Material performance.
  • Analytical with good problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Ability to multi task, identify key priorities and proactively deal with issues.
  • Self motivated, ability to work with minimal supervision but also be able to work well as part of a team with enthusiasm and energy.
  • Flexible approach to work
  • Attention to detail
  • Basic knowledge of CDM legislation, inclusive of understanding and completion of design risk assessments, awareness of workplace safety and understanding of ‘designers’ responsibility.
  • Must be prepared to keep up to date with industry CPD.
