Job summary

Rotherwood in West Yorkshire is seeking an experienced CAD Technician to join our established team. You will produce accurate 2D and 3D CAD drawings and support projects from design through to installation.

Strong AutoCAD experience is essential; knowledge of Revit is desirable. The role involves creating GA, fabrication and installation drawings, developing layouts and pipework routes, and coordinating with engineers and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Experience in CAD Technician, Mechanical Design or similar role.
• Experience in HVAC, M&E, mechanical engineering or building services advantageous.
• AutoCAD experience essential; knowledge of Revit desirable.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings using AutoCAD.
• Create general arrangement, fabrication and installation drawings.

• Update drawings after design changes and site information.

We’re currently recruiting for an experienced CAD Technician to join a well-established business in West Yorkshire.

This is a great opportunity for someone with strong AutoCAD experience who is looking to develop their career within a technical and engineering environment.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for producing accurate 2D and 3D CAD drawings, supporting projects from design through to installation.

Key responsibilities include:

• Producing detailed technical drawings using AutoCAD
• Creating general arrangement, fabrication and installation drawings
• Developing layouts and pipework routes
• Updating drawings following design changes and site information
• Working closely with engineers, project teams, suppliers and other stakeholders

About You

• We’re looking for someone with previous experience in a CAD Technician, Mechanical Design or similar role.
• Experience within HVAC, M&E, mechanical engineering or building services would be advantageous, but isn’t essential.
• AutoCAD experience is essential, while knowledge of Revit would be desirable.
