Job summary

Rullion Ltd in Wales near Portmadog is seeking a CAD Technician to produce and amend 2D drawings and manage drawing documentation for BIM projects.

The role involves coordinating BIM/CDE services, supporting the Project team, and ensuring information is aligned with BEP requirements. Onsite 5 days per week with a £38,000 salary plus car allowance and benefits.

Qualifications

• Engineering/design qualification (Time Served, HNC/HND/Degree)
• 2-3 Years Experience/Knowledge of construction activities and infrastructure design processes
• Applied knowledge of BS/PAS/ISO and their processes
• Experience of Identifying, interpreting and applying required CAD/BIM standards
• Experience delivering projects using AutoCAD with knowledge of Bentley systems

Responsibilities

• Creating 2D drawings and ensuring the appropriate file attributes are captured correctly.
• Ensuring file attributes are captured correctly by others providing drawing and BIM information to the Project.
• Producing and/or amending information in accordance with the project plans.
• Ensuring graphical models are spatially coordinated (clash avoidance); escalate interface issues.
• Ensuring all elements of the Information Model are fully coordinated.
• Submitting information for approval per BEP.
• Manage the design CDE for clients setup and managed by permanent works designer.

Job description

Job title: CAD Technician Job Type: Permanent Start date: Subject to clearance Salary: £38,000 pa + £4,255 Car Allowance + Benefits Location: Near Portmadog, Wales Hours of work: 45 Hours Per Week - Onsite 5 days per week

The Role:

As the CAD Technician you will be producing and amending information and graphical 2D drawings in accordance with the clients standard methods, procedures and manuals. You will manage the drawings and issue electronic and hard copies of drawing and design documentation. You will also manage the design cloud services and CDE for the Project. The role will also involve you supporting the Project team in delivering beneficial outputs from the Information models. Aswell as supporting the Design Manager executing the successful delivery of a BIM Project including 2D & BIM Execution Plans.

Main Responsibilities:

• Creating 2D drawings and ensuring the appropriate file attributes are captured correctly.
• Ensuring the appropriate file attributes are captured correctly by others providing drawing and BIM information to the Project.

Experience/Qualifications:

• All candidates ideally will hold relevant engineering/design qualification (Time Served, HNC/HND/Degree etc)
• 2-3 Years Experience/Knowledge of construction activities and infrastructure design processes.
• Applied knowledge of BS/PAS/ISO and their processes.
• Experience of Identifying, interpreting and applying required industry/ client/ internal CAD/BIM standards.
• Experience of project delivery using the core 2D/3D CAD applications of AutoCAD with knowledge of Bentley systems.
