Rullion Ltd is seeking a CAD Technician to produce and amend 2D drawings in line with the project’s standards. You will manage drawings, issue design documents, and oversee the design CDE and BIM-related files for the project.

The role requires 2–3 years in construction/infrastructure CAD, familiarity with AutoCAD and Bentley systems, and the ability to work onsite in Wales. A permanent position offering a base of £38,000 plus a £4,255 car allowance and benefits.

Competenze

• Engineering/design qualification (Time Served, HNC/HND or Degree).
• 2–3 years' experience in construction activities and infrastructure design.
• Knowledge of BS/PAS/ISO processes.
• Experience applying CAD/BIM standards.

CAD Technician

Job Type: Permanent

Start date: Subject to clearance

Salary: £38,000 pa + £4,255 Car Allowance + Benefits

Location: Near Porthmadog, Wales

Hours of work: 45 Hours Per Week - Onsite 5 days per week

The Role:

As the CAD Technician you will be producing and amending information and graphical 2D drawings in accordance with the clients standard methods, procedures and manuals. You will manage the drawings and issue electronic and hard copies of drawing and design documentation. You will also manage the design cloud services and CDE for the Project. The role will also involve you supporting the Project team in delivering beneficial outputs from the Information models. Aswell as supporting the Design Manager executing the successful delivery of a BIM Project including 2D & BIM Execution Plans.

• Creating 2D drawings and ensuring the appropriate file attributes are captured correctly.
• Ensuring the appropriate file attributes are captured correctly by others providing drawing and BIM information to the Project.
• Producing and/or amending information in accordance with the project plans
• Ensuring graphical models (which they produce) are spatially coordinated (clash avoidance); escalating any interface issues to the Design Manager / BIM Coordinator
• Ensuring all elements of the Information Model are fully coordinated with each other.
• Submitting information for approval in accordance with the BEP
• Manage the design CDE for clients setup and managed by permanent works designer.

Experience/Qualifications:

• All candidates ideally will hold relevant engineering/design qualification (Time Served, HNC/HND/Degree etc)
• 2-3 Years Experience/Knowledge of construction activities and infrastructure design processes.
• Applied knowledge of BS/PAS/ISO and their processes.
• Experience of Identifying, interpreting and applying required industry/ client/ internal CAD/BIM standards.
• Experience of project delivery using the core 2D/3D CAD applications of AutoCAD with knowledge of Bentley systems.
