Job description

We’re offering a fantastic opportunity for a Senior CAD Technician to join our Digital Design team, specialising in major projects across the water sector. This role can be based at our Newcastle office, with hybrid working arrangements that allow for a mix of in‑office and home‑based work. As a CAD Technician you’ll collaborate with skilled technicians and engineers, use 2‑D and 3‑D software such as Civil 3D and Revit, and mentor junior colleagues in the most effective use of CAD software. You’ll report to a Regional Discipline Lead, who will provide technical guidance and support to help you continue developing your career.

Responsibilities

• Preparing project drawings and BIM models, understanding and implementing local client CAD standards and BIM data requirements
• Collaborating with engineers, consultants, and technicians from multiple disciplines
• Managing personal workload plans and ensuring delivery deadlines are met
• Working within Common Data Environments

Qualifications

• Experience in Revit (highly desirable)
• Experience in developing design deliverables in collaboration with multi‑discipline design teams
• Experience working in Common Data Environments using data management systems such as BIM360 and ProjectWise
• Familiarity with ISO 19650 and delivering information in accordance with these standards
• Expertise in 2‑D and 3‑D BIM delivery using industry‑standard tools from Autodesk and Bentley
• The ability to organise and manage workloads across multiple projects
• Willingness to mentor junior colleagues in BIM and new software developments
