CAD Technician

TITLE - Manufacturing Technician / CAD Engineer

LOCATION - Wigan

TERM- Permanent

SALARY - GBP30,000 - GBP38,000 per annum.

We are looking for a CAD Technician, CAD Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Draughtsman, or similar CAD-focused engineering position on a permanent basis in the Wigan area. Your main duties will be assisting with the day-to-day activities of the engineering and manufacturing teams through CAD duties as well as customer-facing responsibilities and various other tasks.

The CAD Technician / Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

• Previous experience in a similar CAD-focused role within manufacturing.
• Experience of working within a manufacturing business/environment.
• Able to communicate with other Manufacturing and Engineering teams.
• Have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Understanding of Inventor or similar CAD packages.

The CAD Engineer / Technician role will involve:

• Making alterations to various Engineering and CAD drawings.
• Liaising with Management on what products and components need altering.
• Managing time day to day to ensure projects are completed to schedule.
