CAD Technician – Exciting Engineering Projects

Location: Fife (Hybrid)
Salary: £35 – 45,000, DOE + Benefits

The Role

As a CAD Technician, you’ll transform engineering designs into clear, precise drawings for fabrication and construction. You’ll work closely with engineers, project teams, and the workshop to ensure high-quality, buildable solutions for structures including platforms, gantries, stairs, and steel support systems.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Interpreting engineering and architectural drawings and specifications
  • Creating accurate 2D/3D models and detailed drawings for manufacturing and site erection
  • Producing General Arrangement drawings for client approvals
  • Generating material and bolt lists to support estimating and procurement
  • Coordinating with multiple departments to deliver projects efficiently
  • Participating in site visits and surveys where required
  • Supporting continuous improvement within the detailing team
