What Are We Looking For?

Our in-house CAD design team is seeking an experienced CAD Technician (mechanical bias) to join the Chemical & Biological Treatment business platform in Darlington. You will collaborate with experienced designers across a multi-disciplinary team, leveraging their knowledge and experience within RSE to guide and support you. This role offers the opportunity to work on technically complex and challenging projects within the Water industry.

Key Duties Include:

  1. Create high-quality detailed 3D models based on current and new designs.
  2. Independently manage work and timelines against project schedules.
  3. Produce accurate, detailed, and to-scale drawings.
  4. Make modifications to existing designs.
  5. Check the quality of information collected on site and ensure successful transition to deliverables.
  6. Maintain precise drawing records.
  7. Apply knowledge of materials and engineering principles to assess feasibility of manufacture and construction.

What Do You Need?

  • Qualification to degree / HND / HNC in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD & 3D modelling.
  • Experience with Inventor or SolidWorks.
  • Strong focus on quality with the ability to work efficiently within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • UK Driving Licence.
