CAD Technician Stonework GBP30,000 GBP45,000 DOE Essex

Join a leading stonework specialist delivering bespoke interior finishes across major London projects.

We re seeking a proactive CAD Technician to join our growing team in Essex, supporting off-site project delivery from initial drawings through to factory production. This is a unique opportunity to work with premium materials and play a key role in coordinating prestigious projects for some of the UK s top contractors.

What You ll Be Doing (The Role)
  • Project manage all live contracts from head office, liaising with the Construction Team for site execution
  • Coordinate all project documentation (Conject, Asite, Aconex, 4P) and distribute updates
  • Manage material samples, submittals and approvals across projects
  • Interpret drawings/specifications to scope works and prepare accurate material schedules
  • Order and coordinate procurement of stone, ceramics, trims, drainage and specialist items
  • Support regular internal procurement meetings and sustainability reporting
  • Produce high-quality AutoCAD drawings (setting out, as-built, interface and production)
  • Collaborate on bespoke architectural item design, supplier liaison, and quotation preparation
  • Assist factory operations from material selection to production execution
  • Attend client/site design coordination meetings when required
About You
  • Proven experience as a CAD Technician, Design Coordinator, or Project Technician within construction, interiors, or specialist subcontracting
  • Proficient in AutoCAD with strong detailing and setting-out capabilities
  • Comfortable with document control platforms (Conject, Asite, Aconex, 4P)
  • Detail-oriented, able to read technical drawings and translate into precise schedules
  • Organised and able to run multiple live projects from a central role
  • Driving licence preferred due to office-based location
  • CAD qualification, construction design experience or equivalent education ideal
