• £40K - £45K salary + pension + flexible working hours + early finish on a Friday + 25 days holiday and all bank holidays + private health.

Your background as a CAD Team Leader:

• Be able to produce high quality CAD designs and drawings using AutoCAD - 80% of your time will be initially focused on producing CAD designs and drawings but this will decrease as the team grows.

• Any previous experience of working within the rail engineering sector would be advantageous.

• You will have some previous experience of leading or coaching or mentoring other CAD Engineers or CAD Technicians – this doesn’t need to be several people / a large teams as initially you will only have 1 direct report.

• You will be commercially aware and able to communicate effectively at all levels of a business.

CAD Team Leader responsibilities:

• Prepare CAD Drawings for all projects (80% of your time initially).

• Responsible for the continuous review of the CAD process and optimise / improve when appropriate.

• Provide leadership, support, and mentoring to a growing team of CAD Technicians (1 direct report initially but the team will grow).

• Manage the CAD / drawing management system.

• Liaison with customers, subcontractors and external consultants regarding drawings and approvals.
