Job summary

Glacier Energy is seeking a CAD Engineer/Draughtsperson to create technical drawings and plans from concept to design using SolidWorks, working with Project Engineers and the Engineering Director to ensure drawings meet project requirements and industry standards.

The role requires solid SolidWorks experience, a minimum of an HNC in mechanical engineering or drafting, and the ability to convert information into accurate 2D and 3D drawings for heat exchangers, pressure vessels and process

Qualifications

• SolidWorks experience is essential.
• Minimum HNC in mechanical engineering/draughting.
• Strong ability to convert verbal and written information into 2D/3D drawings for manufacturing heat exchangers, pressure vessels and process packages.

Responsibilities

• Create technical drawings and plans from concept to design using CAD software.
• Produce 3D model parts and assemblies with SolidWorks.
• Review customer specifications and translate into new designs.
• Generate and revise manufacturing drawings and BOMs to meet customer requirements.
