Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Collaborer avec les équipes d'ingénierie et de production pour assurer la faisabilité des conceptions.

Job Title: CAD Engineer
Location: Royton, Greater Manchester

Kinetic Plc is proud to be working in partnership with a leading component manufacturing business, to recruit a talented CAD Engineer for their manufacturing facility based in Royton, Greater Manchester.

Company Overview:
Our client is a globally recognised leader in the design and manufacture of specialist high-security locking systems. They produce a wide range of precision-engineered products designed to withstand ballistic, blast, fire, and forced-entry attacks. Their locks and physical security solutions are used in critical infrastructure, government facilities, custodial environments, and high-risk sectors across the UK and internationally.

Role Overview:
The successful candidate will join a dedicated engineering team, contributing to the design and development of highly secure mechanical and electromechanical locking products. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a business where innovation, security compliance, and product quality are paramount.

Key Responsibilities:
* Producing accurate 2D and 3D technical drawings using CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar).
* Supporting the development of new and existing product designs, including bomb- and bullet-resistant locking systems.
* Collaborating with engineers and production teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and meet stringent quality standards.
* Assisting with documentation for prototypes, testing procedures, and certifications.
* Managing engineering drawing files and maintaining up-to-date records of product configurations.

Candidate Requirements:
* Proven experience using CAD software in a mechanical engineering environment.
* Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and materials (particularly metals and precision components).
* High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
* Previous experience within a security, defence, or regulated engineering sector is advantageous.
* Knowledge of standards such as LPS 1175 or EN 1522/1523 is desirable but not essential.
