Job summary

AVK-SEG is seeking a CAD Design Engineer to take ownership of project implementation, delivering on time, within budget, and to customer specs. You will generate Eplan/AutoCAD drawings for bespoke electrical panels and work with engineering teams to integrate design inputs.

Applicants should have a design-related qualification and strong CAD experience (Eplan, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit), with a solid understanding of manufacturing processes and UK standards.

Qualifications

• Requires design qualification or equivalent.
• Proficient with CAD software (Eplan, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit).
• Strong manufacturing/process understanding and knowledge of industrial controls.

Responsibilities

• Produce Eplan/AutoCAD drawings for bespoke electrical control panels.
• Maintain knowledge of UK standards and codes of practice.
• Assist in preparing clear reports, designs and drawings.
• Produce cable termination sheets from design drawings.

As aCADDesign Engineer with AVK you will take total responsibility for the implementation of a Successful Project to ensure it is delivered on time, within budget and meets the customer specifications and expectations.

Responsibilities:

• ProduceEplan/AutoCAD drawings for bespoke. Complex electrical control panels, ensuring compliance with technical design.
• Maintain knowledge ofappropriate technicalstandards, legislation, codes of practice and UK standards.
• Assistin the preparation of clear reports, technical submissions, designs,and drawings.
• Produce cable termination sheets from design drawings to ensure clearaccurateinformation is available for our client's projects.
• Input into the planning of projects to ensureaccurateand detailed design, ensuring that designs adhere to precise measurements and tolerances, minimising errors and maximising the quality of the final product
• Work closely with the engineering teams to integrate design inputs and feedback effectively

Requirements

• Qualification in Design, or relevant field
• Proven experience with CAD software, such as Eplan, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit or similar
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and material properties
• Up to date knowledge on latest industrial control solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
