Job summary

Precision People is seeking an experienced CAD Engineer in Leicester (LE7) on days to join a busy engineering environment. The role involves producing 2D/3D drawings, updating designs, and creating manufacturing BOMs within an office-based engineering team.

You will use SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD and collaborate with cross-functional teams while ensuring adherence to standards. The position offers a permanent, full-time role with salary up to £40,000 depending on experience and benefits.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as CAD Engineer or Design Engineer.
• Experience using SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
• Background in manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environments.
• Ability to produce accurate technical and manufacturing drawings.
• Understanding of production and engineering processes.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Producing detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings.
• Modifying and updating existing designs and layouts.
• Using SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD for design and drawing work.
• Creating and maintaining manufacturing drawings and BOMs.
• Supporting engineering and production teams with technical documentation.
• Making drawing amendments in line with the project and manufacturing requirements.
• Ensuring drawings comply with company and industry standards.

• Day shifts, Monday to Friday.

My client is a well-established engineering business with a strong reputation within its specialist sector. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a CAD Engineer to join their technical office team, supporting the design and modification of existing engineered systems and products.

The Role - CAD Engineer
