CAD Engineer
Location: High Wycombe (Office-based) (Hybrid after probation)
Salary: £30,000
Hours: 35 per week (Monday to Friday)

A fantastic opportunity for a CAD Engineer to join a respected and fast-growing smart lighting technology company. Known for delivering cutting-edge lighting control systems, the business supports major commercial and public sector clients across the UK — from concept through to commissioning.

With all project delivery handled in-house, the company offers a stable, collaborative environment where innovation and technical precision are highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare 2D AutoCAD layouts based on client and contractor drawings
  • Export designs into proprietary control software to support pre-commissioning
  • Create and populate system icons and network trees
  • Produce and revise technical drawings and schematics to industry standards
  • Liaise with engineers, project teams and estimators to ensure smooth handovers
  • Maintain detailed design documentation and support design improvements
What We're Looking For:
  • Previous CAD experience, ideally in lighting, electronics or manufacturing
  • Strong AutoCAD skills; experience with 3D tools (e.g. SolidWorks or Rhino) is a plus
  • Ability to interpret electrical drawings and schematics
  • Excellent attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset
  • Degree or certification in a relevant discipline preferred
  • Awareness of smart lighting systems or IoT-based technologies is desirable
