CAD Engineer

ROLE: CAD Designer

LOCATION: Bradford

TERM: Permanent

SALARY: £30,000 - £40,000, dependent on experience

My client is a manufacturer within the Oil & Gas & Aerospace industry. They are looking for a CAD Designer to join their team in Bradford on a permanent basis.

Attributes:

1. At least 2-3 years’ experience in a similar Design Engineering / CAD Operation position
2. Experience in Aerospace, Oil & Gas or similar industries would be beneficial
3. Degree / HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar
4. Previous experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment
5. Proficient using 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor etc.
6. Good theoretical mechanical engineering knowledge of core principles and tight tolerances
7. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
8. Proficient using MS Office
9. Excellent organisational skills and time management skills
10. Ability to work well alone as well as part of a small multi-disciplinary team

Responsibilities:

1. Using CAD for concept design and producing technical drawings
2. Liaising with manufacturing providers
3. Being involved in final assembly of products
4. Creating the required documentation for design as well as project reports / plans
5. Updating 3D models and drawings
6. Inputting parts into the MRP system creating BOMs
7. Checking drawings for sign off
8. Working in a small multi-disciplinary team on varied projects
