CAD Engineer

The Company:

A leading manufacturer supplying precision-engineered components to high-tech industries across the globe. Known for delivering reliable, high-quality solutions, they offer a dynamic and supportive working environment with a strong focus on innovation and continuous improvement.

The Role:

We are seeking an organised and proactive CAD Engineer to join a fast-paced engineering team. This is a key role requiring strong communication, technical ability, and a hands-on approach to managing and coordinating drawing workflows across departments.

You'll work closely with production and engineering teams, supporting new product introductions and ongoing improvements to existing designs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce 3D models and 2D technical drawings using SolidWorks
  • Generate component and assembly drawings to industry standards
  • Design jigs, fixtures, and tooling to support manufacturing processes
  • Collaborate with production and engineering on product development and continuous improvement
  • Manage and maintain CAD file structures
  • Support feasibility reviews and product performance discussions

What You’ll Need:

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Proactive, organised, and detail-oriented
  • Proficient in SolidWorks and Excel (Mastercam experience a plus)

The Package:

  • £35,000 - £40,000 per annum (DOE)
  • Permanent, full-time role
  • 4-day working week (Monday to Thursday) – 37.5 hours on dayshift
  • 262.5 hours paid annual leave
  • Bi-annual company bonus scheme
  • Death in service cover
  • Company pension scheme
