An established industry player in product design and manufacturing is seeking a motivated CAD Engineer to join their dynamic team near Burnley. JOB- CAD Engineer
LOCATION- Burnley
TERM- Permanent
SALARY- £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, dependent on experience
My client designs, manufactures and installs specialist products. They are looking to take on a CAD Engineer on a permanent basis near Burnley.
The CAD Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
- 0-2 years’ experience in a similar CAD Operation / Design Engineering / Mechanical Engineering position
- Be proficient using 3D CAD software such as Solidworks (Preferred), AutoCAD, Inventor etc.
- Any previous experience of working with a variety of materials and machinery
- Have a positive outlook and keen willingness to learn
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Proficient using MS Office
- Excellent organisational skills and time management skills
- Have the ability to work well alone as well as part of a small multi-disciplinary team
- Have a full UK Driving Licence and access to a car
The CAD Engineer role will involve:
- Working within the current engineering team with other Design Engineers
- Producing 3D designs using SolidWorks CAD software and 2D designs with AutoCAD
- Liaising with manufacturing providers
- Being involved in final assembly of products
- Creating the required documentation for design as well as project reports / plans
- Updating 3D models and drawings
- Inputting parts into the MRP system creating BOMs
- Checking drawings for sign off
- Working in a small multi-disciplinary team on varied projects
