Red Bull Technology have exciting opportunities for undergraduate students to spend a year as part of our F1Technical team. The placements will run from the summer of 2027 for one year and offer the opportunity to demonstrate your enthusiasm and apply your knowledge in an open and dynamic environment.

Based on our Milton Keynes campus, this CAD Electronics student placement will develop skills in problem solving, teamwork, planning, innovation and communication while performing tasks across

Qualifications

• Pursuing an Engineering, Science or Mathematics degree.
• Understand Electrical and electronic systems used in Motorsport, Aerospace or Automotive industries.
• Strong analytical skills in CAD, electrical or mechanical engineering.
• Experience with CAD harness packages and PCB design tools (NX12 and Altium preferred).

Responsibilities

• Specify, route, package and install electrical systems in technical projects.
• Create loom and sensor drawings, Codes of Practice, design standards, build documentation and 3D CAD models.
• Carry out fault investigation and resolution of allocated issues.
• Collaborate with disciplines across the design function (electronics, mechanical).

Job description

Red Bull Technology have exciting opportunities for undergraduate students to spend a year as part of our F1Technical team. The placements will run from the summer of 2027 for one year and offer the opportunity to demonstrate your enthusiasm and apply your knowledge in an open and dynamic environment.

Based on our Milton Keynes campus, this CAD Electronics student placement opportunity will allow the successful candidate to develop skills in problem solving, creativity, teamwork, planning, innovation and communication whilst performing the following tasks:

Working on a wide variety of projects within our Electronics Design function and alongside our team of Mechanical and Electronic Engineers.
You will be responsible for the specification, routing, packaging and installation of Electrical systems within technical projects, working closely alongside our Electronics designers.

Creating loom and sensor drawings, Codes of Practice, Design standards, build documentation and 3D CAD models
You will be required to carry out fault investigation and resolution of allocated issues.
You will be working with various disciplines across the design function.

To be considered for this role, you will preferably:

• Studying an Engineering, Science or Mathematic degree
• Possess an understanding of Electrical and Electronic systems used within the Motorsport, Aerospace or Automotive industries.
• Have excellent analytical skills within CAD, Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering
• Experience in the use of Computer Aided Design Harness packages and PCB design tools. (Ideally Unigraphics NX12 and Altium) would be advantageous.

The successful student will be studying towards anEngineering, Science or Mathematic degree (preferably with an interest in Electronics) and be highly computer literate. You must be returning to university to study for at least 1 year after your placement year.

The placement will be for 1 year, starting in the summer of 2027.
