Job summary

MTrec Ltd. are recruiting a permanent CAD Draughtsman to join a growing engineering business in Newcastle upon Tyne.

You will produce and check 2D/3D drawings using AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor, supporting the Project Engineering team and ensuring technical accuracy to specifications. Ideal candidates will have CAD/Design experience in Engineering/Manufacturing, proficiency in AutoCAD and Inventor, and an Engineering-related qualification (HNC or above).

Qualifications

• Experience working within a CAD/Design related role within Engineering/Manufacturing.
• Experience using AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor.
• Ideally qualified in a relevant Engineering/Project related discipline (HNC or above)
• Excellent communication skills at all levels.
• Well organised and self-motivated.
• Able to work well both independently and within a team.
• IT Literate.

Responsibilities

• Produce and check engineering drawings using AutoCAD & Autodesk Inventor (2D & 3D)
• Plan, control and undertake the day-to-day assigned Engineering tasks
• Directly support the Project Engineering team
• Ensure that all areas of work are completed in accordance with Technical Specification and project-specific specifications.
• Complete allocated project tasks within agreed timescales, man-hour allocation, to the required technical accuracy.
• Assist with the preparation of any other engineering deliverables as required
