Are you an experienced CAD designer in the sheet metal fabrication industry, looking to join a growing company who will prioritise your training and skills development while providing incredibly varied work?

This company are a well established metal fabricator, who deliver custom and bespoke projects for massive clients such as Amazon, Panasonic, and Nando's. Being established for over 30 years, they are now looking to expand their design team to manage the influx of new projects across the UK.

On offer is the opportunity to become a vital asset to the design team, where you will be trained on a variety of materials and software packages. The ideal candidate will be able to visit client sites when needed to liaise with them and deliver projects, meeting all deadlines. You will be designing bespoke products/components with every project, as no job is ever the same.

This role would suit a CAD designer looking to progress their skills in a well established metal fabrication company, who will reinvest in your career development and reward you for your efforts with annual bonuses.

The Role:

• Create high quality and detailed technical drawings based on designs supplied by architects.
• Make adjustments and modifications to designs or existing drawings
• Liaise with clients and the fabrication team to understand design requirements and ensure project delivery meets deadlines
• Ensure drawings are compliant with health and safety standards & protocols
• Apply knowledge of materials and engineering principles to check feasibility of manufacture and construction of the product
• Produce installation and manufacturing documentation

The Person:

• Experience using SolidWorks and CREO Modelling in a CAD design role
• Full UK driving licence
