Operating from a new factory, this UK leading business has an outstanding reputation for quality, reliability, and workmanship.

They offer a full design service, project management, and product development facilities. While still focusing on the Retail market, they now offer design expertise, prototyping, and manufacturing for the hospitality, healthcare, corporate, sport, leisure, and education sectors.

CAD Designer (Shopfitting) Salary, Hours, and Benefits

  • 39 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 7:30 am – 4:00 pm
  • Hybrid working – two days per week from the office
  • Modern manufacturing facility
  • Onsite parking

This role is commutable from: Oldbury, Dudley, West Bromwich, Wolverhampton, Stourbridge.

Due to company growth, they are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join their Design department. The role involves designing retail equipment within Interior Shop Fit Outs. Knowledge of CAD Design, Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks, and a background in retail shopfitting would be highly advantageous.

The candidate should be able to work as part of a team and follow instructions but also work independently, meeting tight deadlines and schedules. Responsibilities include creating full production drawing packs, cutting lists, and requisition sheets, supporting the team, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Candidate Requirements

  • Proficiency in SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor
  • Experience in designing and manufacturing retail equipment or interiors (preferred)
  • An Engineering or Design degree is useful but not essential
  • Knowledge of different timbers, materials, and joinery
  • Understanding of materials and manufacturing processes
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (beneficial)
  • Full UK driving license

Key tasks include CAD design and development of retail equipment, creating production drawings, cutting lists, and requisition sheets.
