This role involves working closely with project engineers and maintaining effective communication to ensure project tasks are on schedule. Job description

What will you be doing?

You will be responsible for producing 3D models and drawings for the fabrication of subsea structures and ancillaries, as well as procedural and design drawings for the installation of SPS (Subsea Production Systems) and SURF (Subsea Umbilicals, Risers and Flowlines). With Subsea 7’s proactive participation in the energy transition, there will also be opportunities to work on renewable energy and lower carbon development projects.

Candidates Shall Be Required To
  1. Under direct supervision and guidance, produce 3D models, drawings, and sketches in accordance with good engineering practice and company procedures.
  2. Liaise directly with project engineers regarding drawings and sketches as needed.
  3. Maintain communication with the Discipline Deputy Manager, in collaboration with lead and senior designers, to ensure project tasks are on schedule.
  4. Present oneself professionally at all times.
What experience would we like you to have?
  1. A minimum of HNC (Level 4) qualification in Mechanical/Structural Engineering or equivalent.
  2. Experience using Autodesk Inventor.
  3. Experience with Autodesk AutoCAD.
  4. Experience in designing and drafting steel structures from concept through to fabrication and as-built.
  5. Ability to prioritize, organize, and meet deadlines set by management.
  6. Effective team collaboration across multiple projects.
  7. Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
  8. Strong communication skills in English.
The Following Are Desirable Attributes, But NOT Essential
  1. Experience designing and drafting subsea steel structures.
  2. Experience with Inventor’s iLogic functionality.
  3. Experience with Vault for data management.
  4. Experience with offshore field layouts, route planning, and subsea field development.
  5. Experience creating offshore operations method drawings (rigging arrangements, deck layouts, storyboards).
