Job summary

Certain Advantage is seeking a Designer / Draughtsperson in St Helens, UK to produce high-quality technical drawings and designs. The role supports the Project Manager from concept layouts through to production-ready documentation, with responsibilities including CAD work and detailed engineering packages.

You will use AutoCAD and SolidWorks to create 2D drawings and 3D assemblies, develop Bills of Materials, and ensure compliance with applicable standards while delivering within project

Qualifications

• Solid grasp of engineering fundamentals and technical drawing conventions.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Well organised, with effective time management and the ability to deliver work to deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed technical drawings, 3D models, and design documentation using CAD software.
• Translate specifications, sketches, and design concepts into production-ready solutions.
• Develop and issue Bills of Materials to support manufacturing and procurement.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, engineers and stakeholders to meet timescales.
• Ensure designs meet industry standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.
