Job description

Our client is a leading specialist in the design and installation of self-storage facilities across the UK and Europe. With a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, tailored solutions, they are now looking for a skilled AutoCAD designer to join their growing team.

As an AutoCAD Technician, you will work closely with the Managing Director to produce detailed site drawings and quotations for installation projects. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with suppliers and contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Drafting & Design - Prepare high-quality technical drawings for client review using AutoCAD.
2. Project Estimation - Interpret architectural and engineering drawings to assist in project costing.
3. Supplier & Contractor Coordination - Liaise with external partners to ensure feasibility and compliance.
4. Mathematical Calculations - Conduct precise measurements and calculations for project accuracy.
5. Quotation Preparation - Compile detailed and accurate quotation documents for clients.
6. Client Liaison - Communicate effectively with clients, ensuring their requirements are met.

Desirable Skills:

1. Proficiency in AutoCAD.
2. Strong technical understanding and ability to interpret technical drawings.
3. Experience in estimating and quoting projects based on architectural designs.
4. Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
5. Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
6. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
