Job summary

A family-run business specializing in design is seeking a CAD Design Engineer to create 3D models and technical drawings. The ideal candidate will have essential experience with SolidWorks and AutoCAD. About Servaclean

Servaclean is a family‑run business established in 1988 and is known for its innovative stainless‑steel bar systems and patented GLASSshelf® technology. We design and manufacture high-quality products used in bars, restaurants and leisure venues across the UK.

Our small but highly skilled CAD team plays a vital role - creating detailed layout plans, and technical drawings that ultimately help our customers achieve the most efficient, effective use of their space.

What might your day look like as a CAD Design Engineer?

No two days are the same, but you can expect a mix of:

  • Creating 3D models and derived 2D technical drawings in SolidWorks, and producing 2D layout drawings in AutoCAD
  • Contributing to new and ongoing projects - from initial concept sketches to final technical drawings
  • Working closely with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure designs meet manufacturing requirements
  • Reviewing and amending drawings in response to feedback
  • Helping bring client visions to life through creative, practical and efficient design solutions
  • Maintaining accurate documentation, drawing revisions, and version control

This is hands‑on, practical CAD work with real impact - and plenty of opportunity to grow your skills. Who we’re looking for

Who we’re looking for

We’re open to candidates from a range of backgrounds, whether you have hands‑on industry experience, a relevant degree, or a technical apprenticeship.

The ideal candidate will
  • Have experience using SolidWorks and AutoCAD - this is essential
  • Have knowledge of sheet metal design principles, and fabrication processes - this is desirable
  • Be confident producing accurate technical drawings and layouts plans
  • Be organised, methodical and able to manage multiple projects
  • Communicate clearly and enjoy working collaboratively as part of a small team
  • Be eager to learn, develop and contribute new ideas
  • Have a portfolio of previous work (helpful but not essential)
  • Be curious, proactive and enjoy solving problems through design
