Job summary

HS2 Ltd, delivering the UK’s new high‑speed rail network, seeks a CAD Data Analyst in London or Birmingham to support the Digital Engineering team and manage graphical, non-graphical and geospatial information with suppliers.

You will drive data quality, data management and assurance across the full project lifecycle, apply BIM ISO 19650 standards, and promote data interoperability, training staff and engaging stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • CAD and 3D modelling skills across design, construction, operations and maintenance.
  • Experience in data management, data quality, and data assurance across the full project lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of design, engineering, CAD and 3D model data.
  • Knowledge of data content and production management.
  • Knowledge of data quality techniques, data assurance processes and root cause analysis.
  • Knowledge of BIM processes per ISO 19650 and related standards.
  • Knowledge of data interoperability and experience with open formats.
  • Strong communication skills to support training and upskilling.
  • Stakeholder engagement experience.
  • Experience raising awareness of digital engineering through briefings and organisational support.
  • Experience working within defined standards, processes, and systems while contributing to process improvement.

Responsibilities

  • We manage data exchanges for suppliers within or delivering to our Common Data Environment, focusing on CAD data.
  • We report data quality issues and analyze root causes for our Digital Engineering Team, delivery teams and suppliers.
  • We ensure compliance with digital engineering standards, specifications and operating procedures.
  • We develop and deliver training and support to our business functions, delivery teams and suppliers.
  • We identify opportunities for improvement and feed back into information requirements, specification development and standards creation.
  • We contribute to the management of our Common Data Environment and information governance.
  • We support transformation of data for other functional uses and facilitate data assurance and approvals.
  • We contribute to delivering the Digital Engineering programme, including benefits realisation and evolution of data standards and tools.
