CAD CAM Programmer
Permanent
Circa £45k per annum

South Birmingham commutable from Redditch / Alcester / Bromsgrove / Worcester / Stratford / Evesham / Solihull

Overview of the role:

EMBS Engineering is currently recruiting for a CAD CAM Programmer to join a precision engineering company located on the outskirts of South Birmingham working on a permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support the Manufacturing Manager in achieving objectives
  2. Create robust programs for EDM/Laser/CNC machinery
  3. Designing jigs, fixtures and press tools

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Demonstrated experience working as a CAD CAM Programmer with a focus on Laser, CNC or Wire EDM machining
  2. Previous experience in Automotive, Aerospace & Defence, Power Generation, Medical, Nuclear industries
  3. Minimum 5 years experience in Programming offline using CAD CAM packages
  4. Engineering competence with Solidworks or similar CAD packages
  5. Able to create jigs and fixtures - tooling and fixturing design experience
  6. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  7. Proactive approach and strong willingness to learn new manufacturing techniques
