An opportunity has emerged for a CAD/CAM Engineer with experience of using Edgecam at a high-tech engineering and manufacturing facility based in Lichfield.
Our client has built a world class reputation for the niche engines ensuring that their product performs in several market sectors including: Aerospace, Marine, Automotive and Power Generation.
Customers range from first tier vehicle manufacturers to high performance niche sports cars and UAVs.
As a CAD/CAM Engineer / Edgecam your role will vary day-to-day.
Primarily it will include:
Design, prototyping, research & development and manufacturing are all carried out onsite within their high-tech facility.
Most in-house manufactured components are bespoke, high value and low volume prototypes.
Preferred Skills and Knowledge:
Qualifications:
A mechanical qualification i.e. HND, Degree level or equivalent relevant experiences will be considered.
Training:
Any required training will be given both on the job and via any specialised courses. You will work as part of a team, which includes highly experienced and approachable engineers.
Hours and Work Environment:
38 hour week – Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5.30pm (30 minute lunch), Friday 8.30am to 12.30pm.
Your work will be split between the workshop, test cells and design offices. You will be required to provide a hands-on approach with the desire and ability to learn new skills where expected.
You may also be required to travel to meet clients and suppliers as dictated by the business.
