Company Introduction

We have an exciting opportunity available with a sector-leading professional service client, working on a project for a healthcare client. They are currently looking for a skilled Cache Developer to join their team for a six-month contract.

*The successful candidate must currently hold active SC Clearance or be eligible for SC Clearance*

Job Responsibilities/Objectives
  • Proven experience in the Development lifecycle, from initial requirement gathering to requirements specification (technical and functional), solution design, implementation, and rollout.
  • Ability to clarify requirements with clients and end users, ensuring clear documentation and sign-off.
  • Hands-on experience working with Intersystems Cache, Cache Object Script, SQL, VB6, maintaining ODBC views, Windows Microsoft Access, and/or Crystal Reports.
  • Database and application design skills.
  • A passion for technology and a desire to innovate.
  • Familiarity with software development methodologies like Agile and SCRUM.
  • Experience producing release notes and maintaining documentation.
  • Proven ability to liaise with third parties and customers, including gathering and documenting end-user requirements.
  • Ability to deliver work within estimates, timeframes, quality, and budget as prioritized by the NBSS Development Manager.
  • Experience in unit testing, system testing, regression, backwards compatibility, and performance testing, including supporting UAT.
  • Assist with complex incidents as required by support teams, including work in Welsh if applicable.
Required Skills/Experience
  • Experience in Intersystems Cache Development.
  • Healthcare applications experience.
  • VB6 / Daybook experience.
  • Willingness to travel and work in Wales if required.
