Qualifications

We're actively recruiting for Cabling Engineer to deliver fibre cabling works across the UK, from small-scale installations to large fibre city projects and customer premises, both overhead and underground. Your Passion For Field-based Fibre Cabling And Can-do Attitude Will Be Your Most Important Attribute, But The Following Experience Will Also Help

  • Experience conducting surveys in external PIA networks and internal customer premises.
  • Qualified to complete works within the PIA network, including test, rod & rope, and fibre optic cabling.
  • Skilled in completing internal cabling works and documentation such as A55s and as-builts.
  • Fibre optic splicing experience, capabilities and relevant accreditations (e.g., SA001, SA002, NRSWA).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Location: Remote with site visits across the UK

Contract: Full Time, Permanent

Salary: £25,000 to £30,000 (depending on experience)

Your role as a Cabling Engineer

A Typical Day Might Include

  • Delivering internal and external cabling work packages in PIA and private networks.
  • Conducting surveys and interpreting Openreach duct and pole maps.
  • Liaising with customers and contractors on-site to ensure smooth delivery.
  • Completing documentation and supporting the Team Lead and Project Manager.
  • Performing small-scale fibre splicing and mentoring where appropriate.
