Role: Cabling Engineer (Contract)

Summary

Our client is undertaking a project to maintain and enhance the network infrastructure of a large public facility. We are seeking a Structured Cabling Engineer with active DBS clearance and experience in installing copper or fibre cabling to start immediately. This contract offers a standard 8-hour workday, Monday through Friday, with no weekend or night shifts. The role falls outside the scope of IR35 regulations.

The Role

The project involves the maintenance and improvement of the facility's network infrastructure.

Responsibilities Include:

• Installing, terminating, and testing copper and fibre optic cabling systems.
• Ensuring all installations comply with industry standards and best practices.
• Collaborating with the project team to meet project deadlines and objectives.
• Adhering to all safety and quality guidelines.

Program Details:

• 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday.
• No weekend or night work required.
• Position is outside IR35.

Requirements:

• Active DBS clearance (minimum).
• Experience in installing and maintaining copper or fibre optic cabling systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong adherence to safety and quality standards.
