An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Cable Prep Technician to ensure top-notch preparation and maintenance of equipment for productions. Job Responsibilities
  1. Hands-on preparation of equipment (predominantly in the cables and power departments, but also in other divisions of the warehouse) to the highest standard for productions and dry hires.
  2. Cleaning and recoiling cables returned from productions and hires.
  3. Checking in cables returned from productions and hires.
  4. Ensuring all cables, flight cases, and mains distro are clean, maintained, and well presented to meet Sterling standards.
  5. Keeping workspaces tidy and well-organized.
  6. General service, maintenance, and repair of cables.
  7. Loading/unloading vans and trucks.
  8. PAT testing.
  9. Occasional deliveries, collections, and site work (a full UK driving license is an advantage but not essential).
  10. Maintaining high Health & Safety standards and adhering to company policies and procedures.
Key Attributes
  1. High self-motivation, with the ability to lead by example and work as part of a team.
  2. Experience in the events industry in a similar role.
  3. Excellent ability to work to and meet deadlines.
  4. Excellent knowledge of electrical safety.
  5. High self-motivation and the ability to work on own initiative.
  6. Ability to work as part of a team.
  7. Flexibility and a can-do attitude.
  8. Keen eye for detail and high standards of presentation.
  9. Forklift license (an advantage but not essential).
