Job summary

Britannia Row Productions Limited is seeking an experienced Wireman & PAT Tester for the Cables & Mains Department. The role is permanent, 35 hours per week, with overtime opportunities and weekend work during busy periods.

Salary starts from £27,744 depending on experience, with a comprehensive benefits package and on-site parking. The successful candidate will repair and test audio and power cables, ensure compliance with safety standards, and contribute to inventory management and efficiency

Qualifications

• Confident with inspection and testing of electrical equipment.
• Competent PAT tester with hands-on experience.
• City & Guilds 2377 Portable Appliance Testing qualification or equivalent.
• Qualified Electrician (desirable but not essential).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work independently as a team player.
• Able to thrive under pressure and work extended hours/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Repairing and making cables, mainly audio and power cables.
• Inspect, solder, test, troubleshoot and fault-find PAT testing of electrical equipment such as cables, distros and transformers.
• Ensure equipment complies with specification and is fit for purpose.
• Maintain and exceed targets and efficiency.
• Work well under pressure and uphold HSE and company standards.
• De-prep and test distros, transformers and FOH snakes.
• Barcoding and adding new cables to inventory.
