Job summary

Matchtech Group is seeking experienced Jointers for contract work across the Kent region. The role focuses on installing, jointing and maintaining electrical cable networks on utility projects, with safety and compliance at the core.

Ideal candidates will have proven jointing experience in distribution networks, strong drawing interpretation skills and a solid commitment to quality and teamwork on site.

Qualifications

• Experience working as a Jointer within the transmission and distribution or electrical utilities sector.
• Understanding of cable jointing techniques, electrical systems and network infrastructure.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and follow detailed installation procedures.
• Strong awareness of electrical safety and safe working practices.
• Relevant industry qualifications or authorisations for cable jointing work.
• Good attention to detail and a reliable approach to contract work.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a site-based team across the Kent region.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out cable jointing activities across transmission and distribution networks
• Installing, testing and maintaining electrical cable systems and associated equipment
• Following technical specifications, drawings and approved jointing procedures
• Inspecting completed work to ensure quality, safety and compliance standards are met
• Identifying and reporting faults, defects or issues during installation and maintenance activities
• Working collaboratively with site teams, supervisors and other electrical professionals
• Maintaining accurate records of work completed and materials used
• Adhering to health and safety requirements, risk assessments and site procedures
