Job summary

Proactive Global is recruiting a Cable Assembly Operative to join the busy cable department in Southall, UB2. The role involves assembling data and power cables, soldering, labeling, and quality control to maintain high standards of workmanship.

Working hours are 8:00am–4:30pm, Monday to Friday, with on-site duties. The position offers a rate of £13 per hour with accrued holiday or £14.50 per hour paid holiday.

Qualifications

• Soldering skills required.
• Cable/electrical assembly experience required.
• Experience with electrical connectors, cables or wires preferred.
• Familiarity with hand tools used in electrical assembly.

Responsibilities

• Carry out the cable assembly process following printed assembly instructions.
• Label cable assemblies per supervisor and instruction documents.
• Perform quality control on assemblies per written documents.
• Inform Cable Lead of any broken parts or safety hazards.
• Transport connectors and cables from warehouse to assembly area.
• Stack and organize completed assemblies per work order or sales order.
• Test cables and apply individual tested labels on main cables.
