Job summary

A leading company in electronics assembly is seeking Solderers and Cable Assemblers to join their collaborative team. The role requires excellent soldering skills and attention to detail for various assembly tasks, notably PCB and cable assembly, in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with IPC 610 standards.
• Strong PTH and SMT soldering skills.
• Ability to interpret BOMs and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• PCB assembly, including SMT and PTH soldering.
• Cable assembly using crimping tools.
• Performing PCBA rework when required.

Job description

Are you an experienced electronics assembler looking to join a collaborative and supportive team? We are currently recruiting for Solderers and Cable Assemblers to support electronic assembly operations at our clients facility, based in Waterlooville and Portsmouth.

This is a hands-on role that involves both board-level and box-build assembly. We're looking for someone with a keen eye for detail, excellent soldering skills, and a proactive, can-do attitude. Key Responsibilities:

• PCB assembly, including SMT and PTH soldering

• Cable assembly using crimping tools

• Electro-mechanical assembly

• Interpreting and working from BOMs and engineering drawings

• Performing PCBA rework when required

• Ensuring all work meets required quality standards

Skills & Experience:

• Experience with IPC 610 standards

• Strong PTH and SMT soldering skills

• Confident working with fine-pitch components under a microscope

• Good component recognition and technical understanding

• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines

• Inspection experience (desirable, but not essential)
