Introduction

Our client, a leading manufacturing company in the cable industry, is currently seeking a Cable Assembler to join their team. As a Cable Assembler, you will be responsible for the assembly of coaxial cable assemblies, tinning with solder pots, heat shrinking, crimping, soldering, cable preparation, and testing. This is a contract position with opportunities for progression based on individual performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Assembly of coaxial cable assemblies
• Tinning with solder pots
• Crimping with handheld or crimp-cradle
• Working with multi-component connectors
• Soldering when appropriate with tongs or irons
• Comprehending and following drawings and instructions
• Carrying out cable preparation and terminating connectors onto the cable
• Working at a bench (either standing or sitting)
• Automated and manual cutting of cable lengths
• Automated cable stripping
• Testing - basic continuity to signal wave from analysis & phase matching

Job Requirements

• Experience in cable assembly
• Good concentration and attention to detail
• Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity
• Ability to listen well to instructions and guidance

Hours of Work

Monday - Friday, 08:30-17:30 (07:30 - 16:30)
