Job summary

Jarvie Plant is seeking a skilled Cabin Fitter for the Grangemouth Depot. You will refurbish, prepare and repair portable accommodation cabins, ensuring they are safe and ready for hire.

Duties include joinery, plumbing, painting and basic electrical tasks, with emphasis on quality workmanship and safety. The role requires hands-on experience in accommodation fitting and maintenance, good attention to detail and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in accommodation fitting, maintenance or related duties.
• Basic joinery and plumbing skills are essential.
• Ability to perform tasks under time pressure.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Team player who works well with others.
• CSCS card is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, refurbish, paint, finish and quality‑check accommodation cabins to high standards.
• Carry out joinery, plumbing, painting, welding and minor electrical tasks.
• Fit out, refurbish and repair units to meet customer specs.
• Prepare units for hire ensuring cleanliness, safety and functionality.
• Monitor stock levels and equipment readiness for jobs.
• Assist with installation and removal of cabins on-site.
• Follow safety procedures and complete routine safety checks.
• Maintain records of work and materials used.
• Work with the team to meet targets and deliver customer service.
